In the latest turn of events, Nigerians Can Now Pay for Dollar Transactions with Naira Card.
Based on the information available to us, Nigerian banks are now allowing their customers to pay for international transactions with their Naira card.
Wema bank, the owners of ALAT sent this in an email to it’s customers.
This has been the need of quite a lot of customers, which has led to the emergence of startups like PayDay, Chipper Cash and a host of others.
We wait to see how other banks would respond to this as this may be coming off the circular sent by the apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria lifting the ban of receiving remittances in the country’s local currency, Naira.
